8-Week Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) Course

 This 8-week Mindfulness Self-Compassion (MSC) course is offered at the CHA Center for Mindfulness and Compassion.  All levels of experience with mindfulness and meditation are welcome.

Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) combines the skills of mindfulness and self-compassion to enhance our capacity for emotional well-being. Click here to view an overview of the themes explored over the 8 weeks and learning objectives and outcomes. MSC is an empirically-supported 8-week program designed to cultivate the skill of self-compassion, co-developed by Dr. Christopher Germer, a senior advisor of our CHA Center for Mindfulness and Compassion. We welcome you to explore Mindful Self-Compassion tools and resources, including guided meditation and a course overview, through the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion website.

Please note: Registration is confirmed once you complete the background form and orientation to the course. 

Two weeks before the course starts, we will ask you to fill out a brief required background form that only the teachers will have access to. This may be followed by a brief phone call with one of the teachers to confirm that this course will be safe and helpful for you. CMC is part of a group of centers with an intention to lead the way in meditation safety and accessibility for the mindfulness training field. This background screening process is one of the ways that we can help ensure that this mindfulness training course will be safe and accessible to you at the time that you will be taking it.  Click here to read more about approaches within mindfulness offerings to provide safe and accessible programming.

Orientation: Virtual, TBA; Course Dates: April 29, May 6, 13, 20, (Skip May 27 due to holiday), June 3, 10, 17, 24
Retreat: Saturday, June 8, 2019, 9:30 - 1:30 pm

Course Rate:
Early Registration (March 29)................................................$600
Regular Registration (from March 30 to April 22).........$650

Please note, this course is open to individuals with all levels of mindfulness and meditation experience, including beginners.
Participants will complete a background form and connect with instructors to receive final acceptance in to the course.
